I had a chance to convince Saxxon to try the Fire Emblem series after he tested Shining Force as part of a SEGA pack on Steam, and I'm really pleased to share that he's gotten quite into the game we started with! The first GBA title released in America simply as Fire Emblem (the seventh in the series overall in Japanese chronological order) is going quite well, and we near the end of the game. It's really enjoyable to share a game series with someone and have their opinion be changed. He also commented on Final Fantasy Tactics turning him off to the genre in general, so perhaps we'll revisit that one down the road. All I know is I'm looking very, very forward to a long weekend of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn coming up here in the next few weeks. I'll write again to report on how that went!
